Installation Methods |
The installation methods of FieldServer are
depended on deployments, landscape and purpose.
1.Calibration
Please calibrate the sensors
before installing FieldServer. In order to extend the measuring
ranges of temperature and humidity, it is better to calibrate the
sensors over one day. The standard meteorological instrument should
be measured near to the calibrating sensors equipped in the
FieldServer fixed by tripod.
2.Installation
(1) Standard Installation
Firstly, bore a hole with diameter of 50 mm and
depth of 500-1000 mm by ground auger. Secondly, put a φ40 stainless
steel pole or φ48 iron pipe with lengths of 1000-2000 mm into
the hole for depth of 800-1500 mm.
The polyvinyl chloride
joint can be used to fix FieldServer when 48 iron pipe was
used, because it is easy to remove FieldServer. All cables binding
by bands should be put into the pole and let acryl pipe of
FieldServer stick to the polyvinyl chloride joint. Please use solar
panels if no commercial power will be supplied. In order to avoid
the typhoon strike, solar panels should be connected horizontally to
the pole.
(2)
Installation on the Roof

It is easy to fix FieldServer by tripod in
the roof. Please use brick, concrete block, and watering
polyester tank to fix the tripod in order to resist strong wind.
(3) Installation into a Telegraph Pole
FieldServer can be installed to telegraph poles under permit
of electric company or private concrete poles.
(4) Installation in Paddy Field
Tripod can be used to install FieldServer in paddy field to
resist strong wind
and avoid work obstacle such as prevention and extermination of
harmful insects. The power supply is suggested to use 12 V DC or
solar panels in paddy field. However, FieldServer in sleep mode
powering by solar panels did not marketed.
3.Installation for a Start Point
FieldServer as a start point
can be installed in outdoor of house and linked to router using
Ethernet cable. The router can be connected to broadband such ADSL
or FTTH and the antenna should deployed in the outdoor.
